Hilbert/Hilda encounters N multiple times, mostly when Team Plasma is around, and he will challenge the player to a battle. After being defeated, N wanders off, but expresses interest in the Pokémon's bond with Hilbert/Hilda. He challenges the player to a Pokémon battle using his Purrloin. Hilbert/Hilda meets N at Accumula Town, after watching Ghetsis announce Team Plasma's plans. Ghetsis then assisted N in spreading the word about Team Plasma and their plans.
